Well im going to try to hit the track sunday after i get my new bf dr's mounted (315/35/17) and am in need of some launch advice...

Should i be dumping the clutch or easing out of it, what rpm? I was thinking i would heat the tires up and just dump the clutch at about 5k...am i about on track?

Easing it out is best. Radial tires don't wrinkle like a bias ply or slick, especially low profile 17" ones, so if you shock them they will just blow off, most of the time. 5k RPM is a good starting point. If you blow the tires off, simply back down to 4500-4800, if you bog, simply raise your revs towards redline ;) Heat up the tires pretty well if the tires are brand new, and take your first pass kinda easy until you're sure the tires are fully burned in heh.
