Since I'm panning on adding boost, I'm curious as to how strong the bottom end is on the S550 Coyote? I hear that the rods are forged but the pistons are not. I've seen numbers of "safe HP applications WAY across the board". These numbers range from 450 RWHP up to 750 RWHP. I guess driving habits may also play a key role in this as well. I won't be running slicks until I can afford to build the drivetrain. I really want that stage II Pro Charger kit offered by Evolution performance as it comes with the ID1000 injectors some fancy fuel pump booster, Red Race Bypass valve, and you can upgrade from a P1 to a D1 for 230 simoleons. Sorry @84Ttop I know you like Vortec =( I gotta be different! I'm pretty much in love with this kit as it leaves room to grow in the future when I decide to drop a built motor in her.

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

700rwhp is where i would look towards installing billet oil pump gears and crank sproket and personally intend to make at least thst much with the stock motor over the winter. So far 2500 hard miles on my s550 making 646rwhp and zero issues

I love to hear those numbers. Supercharging is a long way off for me (got to own the car before I mess with it too much) but hearing that I wouldn't have to go inside the motor until 700 rwhp makes me smile about the future.

Sorry JakaJ. Terrible what has happened with your engine.

Thanks, Matt, it happens. Bound to be a couple lemons in the batch. I will be continuing to work through every channel possible with Ford to resolve this. I plan on purchasing a 2016 Mustang and tossing a blower on there. I have faith it will take the 700 hp. Just not the one I am currently paying alimony on...
