How to change my fuel filter?

Where is the location of it, and how to change the fuel filter on my 1989 mustang LX 5.0 ?? Thanks for the help Frank

its right in front of the fuel tank between the tank and the rear end, bell shaped with a hose on both ends....unclip the hoses, take it out, and do the reverse with the new one, mind the fuel flow direction....

wear safety goggles, you will get gas on you....

Also important to note: the clips will sometimes (most of the time?) break when popping them out. This is ok, so don't worry if it happens. Just be sure the new filter comes with two plastic clips. They are all supposed to.

you forgot to tell him to undue the hose clamp...(and of coarse tighten it down at the end)

it has been awhile since i did one, but i think the clips that Adam is talking about are used in lieu of hose clamps.

gotcha. that makes sense.

if someone has to be reminded to do that, i dont think they should do a filter change themself.

You should also relieve the fuel pressure at the schrader valve before removing any of the hoses.
