How do you "check" to see if you have enough fluid in your transmissiom? I have a slight leak and wont be able to remove the transmission and fix it for a few weeks. Its a tr-3650.

Thanks guys

Remove the fill plug (not the drain plug) and stick your finger in it to see if the fluid is close to the bottom of the hole.

Yeah that works! Also, you can drain the trans, then meassure how much you drained out...then pump it back in the fill hole (where the fill plug was ).

Edit: Get under the car and look upwards at the tranny, one plug says drain, and the other is just a bit further up on the tranny from there, looks basically just like the drain plug. I want to say it is even labeled "fill" but I haven't looked under there lately.

The better question is, do you have a torque wrench, and if so, will you use it?
