Hey, does anyone know if there is a chemical that can remove carbon and old grease from engine internal parts (disassembled)? How are these usually cleaned?

Just spray it with brake or carb cleaner.

You could also try gasket remover...

paint thinner (mineral spirits) and a parts brush. Probably some of it won't come off, you can scrape that off carefully with something else, like a razor blade.

I have a parts washer tub and kerosene-based cleaner I let stuff soak in. Brake cleaner works well, but it evaporates too fast for the heavy stuff.

I guess I should check those 351W pistons and rods I've had soaking for the last month.
