my longtubes rusted so i Thermo-Tec wrapped them and then painted them with their hi-heat coating, turned out awesome and actually helps you pick up some miniscule amount of power (negligible on a close-to-stock set-up but a surprising increase on race motors and high horsepower applications)

headerwrap can rot out headers, it's not really used for daily driven cars. There are some threads about this on other sites. Like the others stated, get some steel wool and just work at it, you will be amazed at how much it removes. Follow it up with some qaulity high temp paint and you should be good to go.
