How to Correct Eibach Spring Sag Problem

Ok, so a few months ago I had the Eibach Pro Kit installed on my 03 GT. I was looking for about a 1.5" drop, and better handling. What I got was about a little less than 1" on the drop, and an expected stiffer ride. I also noticed that my car sags 1/4" on the drivers side. Now before everyone tells me that I need to lose weight , how can I correct this problem? Is there any way to correct the problem without replacing the springs? Any help is appreciated.

i installed the same kit on my stang and have no "sagging" problem what so ever... a pic would be helpful

Nope, they replaced all the isolators (or at least I paid for them to be installed).

It could be that one of the springs is rotated to the orientation.

Mike....I have yet to figure out how to help a sagging problem. I have Steeda Sport springs on my '02 and the right rear sags about 1/4" and its driving me nuts. I added an extra isolator and it didn't help at all. Hopefully someone chimes in and can help both of us!

did you guys make sure the pigtails were facing the same way as the old springs?

If you want a lower drop then you can get rid of your spring isolators. In regards to one side being lower then the other I have the same problem except the difference is about 1/2 ". I've got Pro-kit springs as well. Maybe we need to add a 150lbs of weight in the passenger side to even things out.

I have the same problem! I thought it was because the springs settled and I never have a passenger.

Try spring spacers steeda sells them each spacer raises the height .25inches.

The rear height can get evened out with adj LCA's, and the stock LCA's should be changed out anyway.

You know, funny thing is, I heard about this prior to having the springs installed, but I've had good luck with Eibach's in the past. As for the orientation of the pigtails, I'm not sure- I had them installed at www.bieberfever.com in Phoenix. So if I install adjustable lower control arms I can compensate for the sag. Would it be worth just getting rid of the Pro Kit and going with something else?

The problem is the pigtails are not facing the right direction on the spring. If i remember correctly, the all should be facing the middle of the car. If they arent lined up you end up with some of the springs being a tad bit longer than others, causing your sagging problem. Dont bandaid the problem with adj. LCAs, just fix it. If it was done at a shop, I would bring it back to them, because the installation instructions supplied with the springs clearly states how to align the pigtails.

the pigtails of the springs should be facing the same exact way the old ones did! I did the install myself and i dont have any sagging problems

Allright fellas, it's going back to the shop tomorrow for a "pigtail" check. Hopefully it will solve the problem. Hey thanks for all the help here!!
