I have a set of Classic aftermarket guages. At night, the glare from the guages is casting a really bright reflection on my windshield interior. Is there a way to make a "hood" or modify something to eliminate this? Thanks. Here is a pic of the guages.

Best I can tell is to recess the pod farther in or maybe tilt it back at the top or put eyebrows on the gauges

You could probably change the colors of the bulbs or use frosted led's.
Just make sure they are 12v.
Don't waste your time on bulb condoms, they will fade out.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I bought some "cove base" rubber molding. I trimmed it to make a large "eyebrow" like the General suggested to mount directly under the upper dash lip from underneath. Seems to work really well. At 1st I was gonna use aluminum. Then I thought about my fingers being amputated in a crash. Doesn't look too "ghetto". I thought about installing it with velcro for night time only use, but Ill see if it doesnt bother me to have it installed on there at all times.

You can see how much guage light is cast onto the new piece of vinyl.

How is the fit? I can see wires on the one side, I'm not critical of your install, I was thinking about doing something similar.

I didn't install it myself, but yes, the one side has a small gap. It does bother me a bit. I plan to fix it soon. I may try some flat black foam or something to fill the void. Guages are nice, I guess. At first I hated them. I would actually prefer the stock ones, but I'm too lazy to remove and then rewire the guages. They are stupid expensive I think. Like $600 or more if I remember correctly.

Black gauges with green back lit numbers and dashes is much easier on the eyes.
