how were you driving? (i dont powershift)
the sn's can handle 16-18* timing? isnt pinging an issue?
what exactly is an 'extender'
what size MAF? pro m just got bought out by Granateli so i dont know if i would go that route (heard the Granateli's were less quality)

Yes I was powershifting every gear. All cars are different, but mine was able to handle 18 degrees w/ no problems. Do a search on extender and you will pull up a ton of info. I had the pro-m 75 at the time, but now I have an 80. I havent really heard any info about the granatelli maf's.
Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions.

Usually 14* is what is tolerated before pining occures. Some sn's do get the dreaded pinging issue. Also lower controll arms will help plant those tires to reach your goal.

The 1st. time I checked the timing in my car it was set at 8 degrees, so I bumped it to 14 and WOW what a difference, so I said if 14 is good 16 will be better, and yes it was, so then came 18 degrees and I was a little scared to try 20, so I left it there. If I remember correctly going from 14-18, I gained 2-3 tenths and 2-3mph. When I was getting my car dynoed I tried 20 degrees on the dyno and it lost 5 rwhp so I left it at 18 degrees.
Every car is different, so you just gotta try and see what happens. Good luck.

Lets not even talk about what kind of tires.

Let me just say that all you would need is a 2.0 60', which is very obtainable with street tires. I personally have dr's, but last time I went to the track my best 60' was 1.95 with an average of 1.98.

Yea go for GMkilkr's advice i know nothing about 1/4 mile times since all we have here is 1/8's but his mods sound right. Look at the mods. in my sig. if you want some ideas. I havent been to the track since any of this was put on. Which will change soon.
