How to get off old 5.0 emblems????

I am going to change out my old 5.0 fender emblems and replace them with the new 2011 5.0 emblems. What is the best way to get off the old ones without messing up fender or old emblems?

I've used an old hair dryer on low heat to soften them up and carefully pried them off.

BMO,
So there is just double sided tape? No tabs sticking in the fender?
The new ones have 2 tabs on the back, I can just cut them off to make them fit.

Here's a pick of mine that I removed before sending my car out to paint. I don't remember having any tabs to mess with on the back side.

Nope. No tabs on the old 5.0 emblems. Just double stick tape.

Cut the new tabs off the new ones and slapmem on. Take pics...been thinking od this myself

Just took mine off yesterday...I didnt have a heat gun handy so i just pried them off, the used WD-40 to soften up the old adhesive and gently scraped them off with a plastic squeegee. The WD-40 will not hurt your paint.

A quick blast with a heat gun on "LOW", and then cut through the adhesive with a length of fishing line or dental floss. Goo-Gone or Goof-Off to remove any residue left behind.

Got the old badges off with heat gun and small piece of string. Got new ones on now. I like it...

You know what? That looks pretty damn good!
I saw a dark blue GT with 11' emblems and I didn't like the look
Yours however has a fresh clean look to it.....Oh the little things lol

low heat on heat gun,any residue left it can be taken off with goo gone or wd-40..
