How to kill DRL (daytime runninng lights) in my 2000 GT

Hi guys,

I have a 2000 Mustang GT conv and its a re-import from canada. Pretty car, leather, convertible, complete with engine block heater (no joke, the power cord is near the hood latch). My question is, how can I dis-able the DRL's on this thing, and kep everything else working ?

What stays on? The fog lights? Looks good with just the fog lights on IMO

I run with my corners and fogs on ALL the time :dunno:

Come close to being hit at an intersection to many times because someone wasn't looking

no, the corners or fogs are not on, just the low beam headlights. Hard to look cool with headlights on all the stinking time. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

I'd rewire the lights and have the headlight switch turn on a solinoid to power the headlights.

There is probably a simpler way to do it, but this is what I would do. Would give maximum power the lights too.

I hate DRL's! They look like crap, they aren't needed and they dimish the one safety feature guys have on motorcycles during the day. 5 or 10 years ago a headlight during the day meant motorcycle 99% of the time. Now it means nothing.

Unplug the DRL module. It should fix it. Here's some DRL wiring diagrams.

I had the DRL on my truck. I found out how to fix them on a forum. You just have to figure out what pin it is for the Mustang. On my truck you remove the underhood black box fuse for DRL and bend a certain pin back and replug it back in. Now I can cruise without those stupid things. I think if you just unplug that unit, it throws a light on the dash, at least it did on my friends 99 suburban.

My car has the engine heater too! its a 27 dollar option i read online, the guy that dad my car used to work for ford and they tested it up at dearborn michigan.
