u got a Teksid cast iron block. the block itself will hold around 1000hp, you'd have to forge the rest tho

you have the aluminum block not the iron block. the aluminum block is a good block but the internals are not the greatest in the world. the 03/04s have forged internals with a iron block. but if your looking to boost or spray your car on a ild setup use your block with 03/04 internals and the internals are good for 500hp

Stalker333 - Like seths99cobra mentioned, your '99 block is aluminum (99s and 01s were alum, while the 03 and 04s were iron). The 99 and 01 alum blocks are good for plenty of horsepower, well north of the 800hp range.

Unfortunately, the hypereutectic pistons (not forged) and the rest of the internals of the 99/01s (as well as 96-98 snakes) are usually what tend to fail first once you get around the 450 hp mark (generally speaking).

There's lots of factors at play (tune, etc), but once you start to get north of the 400 hp mark, you'll want to pay really close attention - have it dyno tuned by a professional to be on the safe side or build it up to be strong from the get go for forced induction.

What exactly are the goals for your '99 ?
