I need to pull the balancer, and I have the tool, but I need to pull the crank bolt out. Anytime I get a ratchet on it, it just turns the motor over. What's the deal? How do I keep the motor from turning over to loosen that bolt?

Chris, toss it in 5th gear and put the ebrake on. :nice:

There are other methods involving a breaker bar and bumping the starter, but you are a cool guy so let's not try that. :D

Good luck bud.

Been there done that!

One time I left the breaker bar on there and forgot about it and went to start the car it actually backed the bolt completely out. :D

LOL.

When me and my Dad were putting my car together last summer, I was calling him a girlscout, pansy, etc. He's my height and his forearms and arms are about 3 times the size of mine - he could rip my head off my shoulders if he wanted to.

He then said something to the affect of "OK, we'll see who the girlscout is."

He told me to hold on tight to the bar....scared the living chit out of me. :D
