ok, so working away on my 92 vert. It has black interior in pretty good shape, I've been cleaning everything and trying to get it all top top, I guess what I"m looking for is, how do I make it really POP.. I want it to have that super nice look to it.

So far I've cleaned just about everything that can be cleaned. I currently have the door panels off while I do window bushings and some other restorations. I've deleted the old nasty map pockets and the doors will be about as perfect as I can get them without buying new ones.

so I'm open to ideas... maybe pony badges on the doors... I'm thinking white face gauges and temp gauges,

Here is a big one, I don't have floor mats and this is close to the top of my list of things... I've thought a lot about the black ones with pony icons... I looked at the diamond plate ones but they seemed a bit much, I've seen the black diamond plate but still not sure on the idea...

so anyone.. black interior guys!!!! help!!

Well I don't have a black interior, but I'm a big fan of custom interior work.

Here's a thread of some pretty neat stuff, it might give you ideas
http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/interiors-get-boring.703098/ the last post on the first page by Tokyo Joe is the cleaniest fox body interior i've ever seen

http://forums.corral.net/forums/body-shop/1087958-custom-door-panels-fox-body-cars.html more stuff here, but not as cool

I also always liked leather boots around the e brake and shifter, a company makes them and they look great.

There was also this thread I can't find where this guy used wood and these panels that said "mustang" and put them into his door panels, they came out great! wish I could find it, but can't.

Finally there is what one guy did recently on here when he redyed his black interior. His spare tire cover was really cool, he used 1/2 inch plywood, covered in black carpet to cover it up and then seamlessly made his rear LX seats flow.

I'll check out the thread. I want my interior to be nice and stand out but not tacky.... still open to ideas. I'll post if I see any in that thread.

I have a black interior I did myself. On the doors, I did the panels above the armrest in red leather along with the shifter bezel, which was a piece I fabbed up in aluminum a while ago. Plus I've got a Florida 5.0 cluster with auto meter phantoms, and I relocated my radio up to the ac vent. Subtle but clean.

Was the hvac move hard? Or just swapping it and making a bezel?

Pics?

Not trying to hijack the thread, but does anyone know of a vendor that still sells this part to relocate the radio/hvac controls?

That's all I'd do.

Updated pic of the driver's area...but I'm pretty much done.

Bullitt pedals. white face gauges, small shift light, 1993 CD player, redline leather boot and Cobra shift knob.

I did the back seat too, but a little harder to do in a convertible
