I would stay away from online poker for one unfair advantage...I have seen people hook up to a few diff. wireless routers (with diff. ISP's) and play in tandem running tables. Get a group of 4 people who are working together knowing what each other has can really F' up a game.
Rule #1 in cards to make money to stay out of MORE trouble...dont bet what you dont have to loose.
Have you thought about keeping a trimed down list of bills (if you can) like downgrade your cell plan, internet conn., going out to eat as much, going out less?

reminds me of highschool...used to run pools on sports games. Every morning in accounting class 2 other guys and I would go over stats and odds in the paper. Then based off those set up scores and collect 1-2$ for each bet per player. The key is to never say how many people are playing
. The winner got 20$...we ea. got 20$ and I never needed gas money/lunch money
