how to make money on the side

I would stay away from online poker for one unfair advantage...I have seen people hook up to a few diff. wireless routers (with diff. ISP's) and play in tandem running tables. Get a group of 4 people who are working together knowing what each other has can really F' up a game.

Rule #1 in cards to make money to stay out of MORE trouble...dont bet what you dont have to loose.

Have you thought about keeping a trimed down list of bills (if you can) like downgrade your cell plan, internet conn., going out to eat as much, going out less?

now imagine doing doing just that 2 or 3 players in 5 player tournies. And losing money with your "team" having logged at least 3 years of poker and UP money in real life. Telling you something fishy about it.

The huge 1000+ player tournaments I have friends that have won those, somebodies gotta win it right?

Ill give you an example of the luck I have after a cash out : i was holding 77 he was holding A9, pot was raised up high. Flop 610101010. He pushed all in on the third 10 I called, then that last 10 came up. Stuff like that drives me nuts especially when it happens over and over again.

I would just rather play with REAL cards...something about the web poker just doesnt sit right with me.

There are about 10-12 "poker" buddies and we often have some fairly well played poker games. Alot of Math geeks and every one of us has played or does play in a regular tourn. Everyone who has gone to vegas has won a tourn. when there and playing. There are soooo many ways to play and be effective its all about mixing it up with the ones who are playing at that moment with you.

My buddies dad is one of the best blackjack card counters in the country, people fly in to get "lessons" from him...damn good. You have to have such a large bankroll for something like blackjack though to keep playing (you have to be smart and loose some so they dont catch on your counting) and your odds only go up like 3-5%.

Dont gamble as your only way to save your ass, real life is not a movie.

I sold uh stuff in high school. But I wouldn't recommend that route. That was back when I was a dumbass kid.

:rlaugh: reminds me of highschool...used to run pools on sports games. Every morning in accounting class 2 other guys and I would go over stats and odds in the paper. Then based off those set up scores and collect 1-2$ for each bet per player. The key is to never say how many people are playing:D . The winner got 20$...we ea. got 20$ and I never needed gas money/lunch money :rlaugh: .
