How to open a coupe trunk with a broken lock

I've never played with the trunk lock....is it something that an arm can come off of or something like a door lock can? The key turns, but nothing happens. I'm going to be getting a whole set of locks eventually anyways when i do my new doors, so i may just get the doors/trunk locks now and go ahead and do it. I hate crap like this, it just happened all of a sudden...no warning, just went out and turned the key and it didn't open.

the key turns a little flat stick thingy that sticks out about 2inches from the lock and it sits in a slot that will unlock the trunk. Take the rivit out and pull the lock strait out and you will see what I mean. It is easier than checking your oil lol

:fuss::bang: Seems as though the lock was frozen. I've never seen a lock that would turn with the key but not open....but today it's about 38* out and i put my new shifter in and just figured i'd give it a try and it popped right open.

SOB :nonono:

I'm still very interested in the lock smith idea. If i could pay $60 or so to have my doors and trunk done to open with my ignition key, that would be so badass. I've got 3 vehicles so i already have a ton of keys on me all the time and with the 'stang having 3 keys, i could do away with 2 of'em.
