How to remove entire dash?

Okay, even though no help my friend and I did it. I recomend NOONE DOING THIS. IT IS A PAIN IN THE ASS that in my opinion is not worth it. I won't even begin to type up a how-to. It is extensive. :notnice:

I just did it. I had the whole right side of the dash off (some more wires to get it all the way out) to replace my heater core. I had the whole dash off in about 2 hours. It wasn't that bad. You really need a Ford service manual for this. Or maybe the Haynes or Chilton manuals have it too. You will need to drop the steering column though - I tried to get away with not doing it and wasted time.

 That looks like a major PITA! I think I would buy another car before I went through all that trouble. I hope my heater core lasts for a loooong time. :D

BTW ... It would be a good idea to replace your heater core now since you're already there. If not, at least you'll know how to tear your dash apart next time.

I'm curious to see how that turned out. I've been wanting to do a tan-black interior conversion... but after research I think I just might as well buy a new car.
