How-To replace a pawl bushing

Can anyone tell me how to replace the door latch pawl bushing. I have the part but dont know how to get the broken one out and the new on in. PLEASE HELP!!!

I have heard of a pawl bushing in the shifter but not a door?! What year and what part are you inquiring about? Pics? Where did you get it? What part number?
