how to smoke headlights?

I was wondering...how hard is it to smoke headlights?? Should I do it myself (what all is there to do)? Or should I buy smoked ones (how much dinero are we talking)?

You can but this stuff called NIGHT SHADES , you need to prep and clean the area, then use a light sand paper so the paint holds, you do light coats untill your at the effect you like. The problem is that some cops dont like it and will give you a hassel. For the better look i would recomend buying them but the can of sray "night shades" is like 15 bucks, and i dont know how much the new lights are?

Spray some lighter fluid on them and throw a match at um they'll smoke

actually, i did that with the night shades. I got those JDM black housing headlights but i didnt like the fact that the lense was still "clear" or white which stood out on my black car. Well i wasnt about to pay for another set of headlights so i tried out this stuff, my car is under a cover right now as im collecting parts to rebuild my engine but i will get some pictures if you want to see when i can.

Its much cheaper than smoked headlights, but im not sure how it will come out on stock style lights. I also think it looks better
