How to take the rear seat cushion out????

I know there is something under the cushion in the center of where you sit, but for the life of me can't get it out. Got any techniques or helpful hints?

Ok there is a plastic tab in the center of each cushion area it is a push button affair you can see it if you lift up on the cushion but you'll have to let the cushion back down to disegage it. Hope that helps

Mine won't seem to lock back.... anyone have an idea of why? Maybe I over pushed my buttons?

The whole bottom cushion probably isn't worth taking out for weight savings...only about 5lbs. The back part fo the seat though, that is pretty freakin heavy, you're looking at 35lbs+.

You have to take the bottom cushion out to take the back part off though I'm pretty sure. I have both out of my car...makes it easy to say NO when more than one person wants a ride in your car at the same time

The metal pieces that slide in the plastic can get bent, especially after trying to pry them around and stuff. One of them is probably stuck.
