I have a 96 auto gt and I believe that the PO changed the gearing. If I'm on the highway and the RPMs are ~2300rpm @ 75mph, would that suggest that I've got 3.73's?

T45 + 3.73's =
1st - 5 mph for every 1000 rpm's
2nd - 10 mph for every 1000 rpm's
3rd - 15 mph for every 1000 rpm's
4th - 20 mph for every 1000 rpm's
5th - about 29 mph for every 1000 rpm's

Jack the rear up and rotate the drive shaft and see how many revolutions it takes to make the tires make 1 revolution.

He said it's an auto not manual, sounds like stock 3.27s as that's about the same numbers I produce.

What does that have to do with it? Last time I checked, auto's have neutral also.

You are correct KenB, But Venom Nitrous was giving rpms for a T-45 and that's what I was responding too.

Sounds like stock gearing (3.27:1) to me. I remember, 2100 rpm=70 mph on my stock 96 GT.
