How do you test a torque converter to see if it is good? I picked up a used one and want it tested before I just install it.

The only think I can think of to do is to check to make sure that there is no binding when you spin the case relative to the output shaft.

It's not in the car. I'd rather have it checked before I get to the point of installing it.

Only way I know is to have it dyno tested. Any tranny shops in your area that build stalls?
