99-01 Cobra use an aluminium block, 03+ use iron. 99-01 have cast internals, 03+ have forged internals. The heads are differents, the cams are different, not the same engine AT ALL.

Actually, the cranks are forged in all 4.6L Cobra's....all that would really need to be added are a good set of Rods and Pistons. Which can actually be had fairly cheaply now.
