HOW to unplug Wires??

Ok The Engine bay in my 88 coupe is almost naked!! Im planning on sandblasting it and Repainting it nice and pretty. There are 2 Big wire looms i want to get out of there. One goes into the drivers side firewall and one in the passenger side firewall. How would i go about getting those out?
Like is there a plug inside the dash that will just unplug? Hoping its not too much of a headache!!... Thanks!

Look for either a 10mm or 5/16" (socket size) bolt that holds the 2 halves together. Can't remember which side of the fire wall it's on.

Oh no $hit, So you gotta pull the insulation off aroung it first? And what is it kinda like a plug that holds them together?

it's called a gang plug. It's what holds all the wires that pass thru the firewall to either side.

well i Took the insulation off from around the engine bay firewall area and saw no Bolts. I decided too look in side the car and man can't see nothing. am i going to have too pull all that $hit off from under the dash, there to detatch the wires?

don't quote me but I think its in the engine compartment. should be in the middle of the plug. small bolt that holds the two halves together. You might have to scape away some of the tar on the plug to find the screw/bolt.

Agree. Sorry I forgot to mention where the bolt was located.
