How to Wet sand

well, how do i do it? real fine sandpaper, and water? there has to be more

Not sure, I have never done it myself, here's all I could find on the subject

wet sanding

nope... that's all there is... use lots of water... lots!

what are you sanding??

Start with 800-1000 grit and work finer. Should finish off with 1600-2000 grit in 2-3 steps. And yes,LOTS OF WATER!!!!!!!

Depends on what you are sanding. For polishing yes use finer and finer until it is very shiney.

Prepping for paint. No need to go any farther then 600. Anything more and you risk adhesion proplems.

And as for lots of water, you do need water but not enough to flood where you are working. I prefer to use a spray bottle with a touch of ivory soap. The soap helps to keep the paper unclogged.
