Hey guys i need some help whit a cam selection i wasn't sure if this was supposed to be in talk or tech so i put it here

its a Lunati cam .536 lift I/E, and .218/.228 Split duration at 50*, 112*lobe seperation, with a recommended RPM range of 2200-6000RPM.

What kind of power will this be? with this be a more NA cam or will this work well with a blower too? Sorry i dont have a part number this is all the info i can get right now? please help

O yeah how much would this be over the the stock cam?

Um your sig says nothing about your motor, so it could be a 4 cylinder for all we know....

But thats without question a NA cam... it would be ok for a centrifugal but not great, and NOT a turbo cam.

You dont build a motor around a cam, build it based on the heads.

With a stock motor you are not going to pick up much with a cam swap, especially not that cam.

I would work on getting an aftermarket intake and full exhaust then swap cam, rockers, etc when you want to put on heads....then you'll see major gains.

hey rick i have a cobra upper and lower intake coming in the mail, but that and my cam will be installed together? also i have full exhaust. i have Mac Long tubes and mac h-pipe and magnaflow catback on my car. I was just wondering do you think i will need to upgrade andything inside the motor while using this cam(pushrods, rockers, lifters anything else)? also would you reccomend me getting my heads port and polished? until i get the money for the TF heads. I got this cam given to me so im just trying to use it until i have the money for my turbo kit i plan on doing which i will be using a custom cam and TF heads and probly TF intake too. i am up to any suggestions that wont cost to much money.

Thanks

To use that cam you would have to upgrade springs, retainers and locks, and possibly notch the pistons. I would save the money and put it towards new heads, then swap in the cam.

Putting all the money into E7's is pointless to me, especially since you are planning to swap them anyways.

The stock cam works well with the stock heads and Cobra intake.

Your car will be less fun to drive around town due to degraded low end response probably even with your 4.10's plus no performance improvement at the track.Unless you upgrade the heads leave well enough alone.
