huge exhaust leak

im trying to put my stock h-pipe in (f***ing emissions) and where the right header meets the h-pipe there is a huge leak. ive loosened and tightened the bolts evenly 4 times and still the problem exists. sounds like i have no mufflers on at all, its that bad. its boiling hot out side and i dont have a lift so im on the ground and its misserable. i have no idea why its doing this, what do you guys think? what can i do to? i was supposed to pass emissions a week ago so its making it that much more fustrating :bang:

Not sure if this would work but if you loosened the rightside header a bit would that give you the extra bit of space you need?

Emissions suck huh....its the only thing that is keeping me from getting an after market H pipe.

well i got really pissed off. i pulled out the h-pipe and cut it in half. it made it easier to manage and faster to work on. i put the driver's side in with no leaks. i put the driver's side in with sylicone on the flange in hopes to stop it. after i got the whole exhaust in (for the 3rd time) i fired it up and it leaked as bad as before....DAMN IT!!! so i pull it down again. take a look at the flange and find that on 2/3 of the flange the sylicone was untouched meaning almost none of the h-pipe is connecting to the header. so i grabbed the sylincone and went to town. i put a layer about .5" thick all over that f***ing flange and bolted the whole exhaust back in (4th time). its drying now and im crossing my fingers it holds. after bolting it down, i looked and saw that sylicone is oozing out everywhere so im hoping i got it this time.

if not, dont they make exhaust gaskets. ive seen them before but it was a while ago. anyone know what im talking about?
