looks like Hurst has released a short throw shifter for our cars! This thing has the look!!! It screams muscle car. I can't find any reviews anywhere and I almost don't care. I haven't seen anyone over 30% reductions, this thing is 38%. I may have to scoop one of these up. If you know anyone that's used it did they like it?

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

I can't say I know a thing about short shifters in these cars... If you do pick one up, let us know how the install goes and what your overall thoughts are

The design doesn't look nearly as robust as the MGW, but the price is about half as much. Since this isn't a full blown racecar yet I might be okay with saving a couple hundred.

MGW looks like a freakin' transformer. I am amazed at how much these things cost. Like the very retro look of the Hurst. It kind of concerns me how unreinforced the Hurst looks though.

Like I said that Hurst shifter screams OLD SCHOOL MUSCLE. I love how the reverse lockout remains in an almost stock configuration.

I just reviewed the installation instructions and I'm not impressed. You are basically buying a rebuild kit for your shifter. some of the bushings have to be carefully removed for re use, and they want you to cut the stock shifter boot and secure it with a ZIP TIE.... I'm not okay with that. Instructions linked below.

Better a zip tie than duct tape?

Lol I suppose that's better than duct tape. Seems like more of a quick work around rather than a permanent solution.

Cut the boot and wire tie it? I call shenanigans.
