did you put the factory rubber boot back over the shifter , you would have to cut the rubber a little to get it back over the shifter , if you didnt , you might have pulled the rubber loose from the metal retaining ring that screws in the floor , if you put that back on and you still notice noise , is it air or is it a whizzing noise from the tranny , the hurst and all aftermarket shifters dont have a rubber isolator so some tranny noise can be heard through the handle
