Hurst Shifters

My friend had a hurst in his 90, I didn't like it, but thats just me. I would say MGW or Steeda FTW

DON'T BUY IT!!! I put one on my stock tranny and it worked great until I swapped it to my new G-Force T-5 8 MONTHS LATER. Wouldn't you know I couldnt get it into any gears. Tearing it apart I found the ball from the handle has worn the socket in the base of the shifter really bad and was enough to mess up the alignment. Seems like it worked on my old T-5 cause it had some slop also unlike my new tranny.

The problem is the base of the shifter is CAST while the ball of the handle is FORGED.

If you want to get a hurst, get the billet plus. Anything with a billet base for that matter. You can always get the handle seperatly if you really want that look.

Just my .02. Complete waste of $175.

I have a hurst billet plus in my car with a steeda handle. It came with my trans, but I have no problems with it.

ive never heard anything good about hurst shifters on out trannys. My dad had one on his 67 mustang, WOW what a sloppy pos.

I had a hurst short throw and it was the best shifter i ever used. Was inbetween an mgw and a pro 5.0 quality wise and it shifted awesome.

I had one and didn't like it too well... the B&M I had I didn't really like either so I'm going MGW.

I believe that pretty much all the billet shifters aside from MGWs are basically the same.

The billet plus hurst is as good as any other billet shifter, I think it catches a bad rap because the the other cheaper version they sell that tends to break.

the B&M Pro Ripper looks to be a nice piece too but I have never tried one

Nobody is looking at the original posters website. It is NOT the billet shifter. It is the cast junk that wears out in a year. Hurst sells two different types.

Any shifter with a BILLET base is the way to go.
