Good Sunday morning to all you guys. I know I don't post over here very often, life sucks a lot , as I'm sure you all know. Any way, I have a 69 Cougar that I am going to put a T5 into. I have the trans, bell housing, clutch pedal, etc.. But I'm curious about the hydraulic clutch parts. Mustangs unlimited sells a kit for like four hundred bones, and I'd really like to be able to spend a bit less than that. Does anyone know the part numbers from that kit, or has any one else done the same thing for less money? It looks pretty simple for the cash!

Help!!

As I don't post here very often, if you want to share the info you can email me direct at

woodsnake4462838@msn.com

Thanks again!

Call McCloud and see how much they get for it.

My customer has a t56 in his 70 Cougar and bought all the parts from Dark Horse. They were all McCloud.

You can clone the JME hyd setup sold by most vendors pretty closely using CNC brand parts, and if you want, you can even relocate the flange like JME does and have your own homemade JME setup. Cost is $225-250-ish

How do you source the 'CNC brand parts'? I found the daze cars page, that was some good reading. I do have some fabrication skills, but I don't have a welder, or air compressor, and am therefore somewhat limited. Thanks for the links!

You can't source the master cylinder from CNC. It is made specifically for JMC. You can buy the straight version and try to get that to work. You can source the slave cylinder from CNC though.

Um you don't need to spend two arms and a leg to do a hyd clutch setup on your stang BTW.

I *think* JMC modifies the CNC master themselves as it looks like the flange has been stick welded. JamesW's page shows how to make a JMC-esque setup using stock versions of the CNC parts used by JMC.

As to the OP, it's cncbrakes.com.

Nah, it's all tig welded. And they really aren't exactly the same as the straight versions. Everyone of them is hand made by the owner of CNC himself. Cuts, bores, hones, (don't know about welded though) everyone of them himself. I was given a little lesson on this when the man himself stopped by the shop today.

the master and dlave cylinders are avilable from speedway motors. thats where daze sources his from in the instructions he sends with the brackets. they are reasonably priced too, about $110 for both.
