Are old cores worth anything or should they just be tossed when replaced?

The vendor of the replacements said that they do not rebuild and that the ones they sell are not refurbs so that backs up what you said.

I learned to ask, more than once I threw away some bracket or what-not that turned out to be rare or valuable.

Thanks for the info - I will probably need it in a few years when I have the body of my car back in shape.
