I think its pretty hot myself. I bet it handles like a go-cart. Have yet to be in the genesis, either version, but wouldn't mind checking it out.

Its only a matter of time until the 4.6 that's in the sedan makes its way into the coupe. Either way 290 horse power in a car that size would be quite fun.

Saw the latest episode of Test Drive with Tommy Kendall and Reese Millan (sp?) on the Genesis Coupe. Looks really sharp and Reese went on and on about how he spent 2 or 3 days flogging it at Road Atlanta for the commercials, all while the car never broke or showed any signs of needing assistance. Granted, this is a TV show, so they do play up any car being spotlighted.

From the footage on Test Drive, the handling seems really good through hard and fast corners. The springs must be pretty stiff, as roll was a minimum for the most part. Kind of reminded me of the newer GTO, but with a much better suspension. The brakes appear to be huge as well.

Would be real interested in a test drive or at least seeing/hearing it in person. As with any Hundai, I bet this comes with a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty too.

I wouldn't go that far. With the CAFE standards the way they are, it's hard to make too many RWD cars these days.

I rented a Cobalt not long ago. I got to be honest, it was a terrible car. It had a ton of power, even in the standard model. But the windshield was flat, so you couldn't see out the corners, and you couldn't get rain off of it. Also, my head rubbed on the headliner, and I'm only 5'7". I can't imagine anyone of any height driving that car.

LOL you guys crack me up.

Lets see some stock numbers with a tune from that foreign crap

Then lets see the cool ass features like launch and shift control....

I've never been in one so i cant comment on the headroom or the windshield....but EVERY car has "issues" like that. There's no such thing as a perfect car...and coming from guys who have never driven the damn Genesis...

where's your american pride?

I think Pontiac went out with a decent little bang between the Cobalt SS and the G8.

The Cobalt is showing a lot of great potential...support your american companies chumps

Thats more power than most cars on this site HAHAHAHAHA
