Thanks for the heads up on the headliner (bad pun there...). I intend on getting the shell sandblasted so everything will be coming out anyways. I look forward to checking out Mustangs at car shows next year to really pay attention to details like this as I don't have a point of reference right now.

ranger04, yes it really was a mustang heaven of sorts... bittersweet though as some look nearly beyond repair. Good parts cars though...

I still haven't decided about the engine yet, if it isn't grenaded (I suspect it wasn't abused, but who knows...) I'll rebuild it, thinking about getting better flowing heads for starters. Once upon a time I had considered the 302 fuelie swap, but since feeling the difference between a carbed motor (even just in my Pinto) and the fuel injected, I have to say the idea of a carb isn't too far off now. I'm not totally adventurous like some of you guys and will probably stick with the 2bbl at this point. I'd like to see how original I can keep the main components of the car, but with a few mods. Obviously a T-5 is needed (that makes 3 that we've gotta find now.. gonna know these trannies like the back of my hand when we're done!) can't stand anything automatic :S

Disc brakes on the front are definitely happening, I've already got spindles from a Monarch (a nice little $10 grab woohoo I love having a good wrecking yard guy). Also adding power brakes, this car already has power steering, so definitely rebuilding that system as well.

Upgrading the seatbelts for sure, I just can't decide between a 2 tone pony interior or a standard black one though... I just don't like the fake wood stuff, but a genuine wood steering wheel would be nice too.

I just a really nice driver with a few modern conveniences, but throaty enough to turn some heads when I step on it

it's got 2.80 in the rear, and I think I've decided to go with the original interior. Something about those two toned interiors that just make them pop. A 4bbl isn't out of the question, is there a major difference in mpg? (sad that I have to consider that, but at $1.03/litre it adds up fast)

Exhaust is something I haven't even considered as of yet, I think I'll tour some shows next year and see if I can get some other mustang nuts to help a gal out and start their car for me Once I hear something close to what I like, I'll look into it more. Never was much fan of flowmasters, I found they sounded too hollow, but I've really only heard them on fox bodies. I'm looking for something really deep and rumbling.

Have you got a vid of your car with them on? I'd like to find a site with some examples.

Tires, not too sure, something meaty, not too tall. I want the car to look low and handle nicely.
