I had a converter and 3.73s on my car and ran 14.3s. Put in a T5 and on my first passes went 13.9. Dropped that to a 14.3 with just a header, mipipe and pulleys. The right converter and shift kit will do wonders, but a stocker even with more mods will lose.

i didnt read the whole thread, but you need to get a detailed list(a work order) from the dealership you took the car to. It should tell you everything they did and what it was setup at before in the way of timing, etc..then post it here maybe someone can help. Also sorry about your AOD, that T5 will make a huge improvement in your times and SOTP feel
Well at least you can do a 5 speed swap with out pulling a good trans out.
If the trans hadn't crapped out then a converter and a set of 3.73s minimum. And 4.10s in an AOD aren't bad on the highway. But since the trans went its a whole new ball game.
yea i was about 100 yards from my house na d the trans started squeling and slipping and i looked bakc and there was this cloud of white smoke. the 5 speed should be in within the next few days. and i am going to bump my timing back up a little. and friday im going to pick up another rear end for my car so i KNOW i will have a good locker. the one i have now is hit or miss. sometimes it pulls p-track sometimes it doesnt.
