I thoroughly enjoyed that story, your car must have been an absolute beast and sleeper at the same time

yeah that car was a lot of fun.. surprised a lot of people, it was white with chrome trim, T-tops and looked like grandmas regal.. even floored all you heard was the turbo. someday I plan to make this mustang faster than that buick ever was.. just think how badass a turbo 4.6 would be

turbo 4.6 > everything. It's funny you brought that up, lately when I drive around I imagine what my car would be like w/ a turbo on it, and I hear the spooling in my head. Kinda weird.

Great story Mike your Regal must have been a real head turner!! :nice:
I know all the moron ricers on the Subaru forums will be going to watch
this and trying to "drift" after the movie is over.:nonono:

Used to be when I was a teenager, we'd go see the newest Jean Claude movie and come home thinking we could kickbox or something. I could only imagine what these kids are doing after seeing this movie.

And its not the ricers fault. Its our damn fault for jacking up the prices of real muscle cars. When I was in high school...which was only 10-15 years ago...right before the ricer "bowel" movement....many of us owned 60's and 70's muscle cars. But....BUT....you could buy them fairly cheap back then. I had a 78 camaro with a built 350 that I only paid about 3k for. Now you can't even buy a 78 camaro in fair condition for less that 6k. Buddy owned a 66 Fairlane that he paid a few K for....nowadays its prolly worth 10k. Blame Barretts Auctions!!!!

What sucks is all these kids that cant drive yet are growing up on this crap,
And think its cool, I have been to many street races all over the country, I have never seen 4 to 5 cars racing thru town drifting around every corner...
just plain stupid, Even guys who rob banks and have something to run from dont do that!! My grandpa can pull the e brake on hi caddy and drift it. Movie isnt worth my 6 dollars.. IMO

I can't wait for the parking lots are full of teenagers in their FWD cars trying to drift. It will be hilarious. My brother works at the local theater and I get in for free so I might actually go see this one just for laughs.

This movie will win "Best Comedy of the year" :rlaugh: :D

I know a ricer who had a 04 civic si hatch, always talking about how he would drift it. I always told him "your an idiot" fwd powerbrake slides is not drifting thats just stupidity. So he bought an s2000 and flipped it while(get this) trying to drift up a steep ass hill.

This movie is going to be like chlorine for the automotive gene pool. The number of riced out Civics etc. that are going to be written off after their owners watch this movie and think they know how to drive/drift will be fantastic! I can't wait!

Drifting is the automotive equivalent of figure skating...it's about style and subjective measurements of skill, not about organized pursuit of objectively defined goals.

In a lot of ways, very similar to the so-called "extreme" sports...

is drifting even considered racing? winner is decided by judges...no times or speed so how do you compare yourself to your last drift event to see if your improving or not? What if there is a French or Russian judge?
