I can barely hear Fuel Pump?

I just installed a 190Lph Fuel Pump and know I hooked everything up right but when I crank I can barely hear it... The car isnt done yet so I cant check FP I just hooked the battery and fuel pump up and tried to crank but it was real quiet. Also I heared wut seemed like the sound a spark makes comming from where the test ecc module is by the breakbooster when I back off the ignition but cannot see cuz Im hanging in the car... What could this be? Also the lines going to and from the Fuel Pump, the feed line is the line running threw the filter correct?The return line does not?

Is your fuel lines hooked up?. The fuel pump will be much louder when the system is under pressure. I had a stang die, couldn't restart, couldn't hear the pump. A line blew apart. I fixed the line and everything was fine.

Yes, the feed line goes through the filter.

hehe... my return line was touching my exhaust tubes... not good stuff, going home from school one day i had gasoline dripping down my tailpipes ::gasp::
