I Cant Find The Dipstick Tube Insert Anywhere

Please help. Ive checked high and low in the block and there is nothing. Nothing in the pan as well. Nothing in timing cover as well. Where the heck could it be?

I suppose you could have a early model 302 block where the dipstick should be in the timeing cover, but at the same time have a late model timing cover that doesn't have a dipstick tube in it. That would mean you don't have a dipstick opening at all. Like Horse sense said in your other post, it will either be in the pan on the driverside, near the bottom of the block, or it will be on the passenger side of the timing cover in between the block and the alternator (see the pic)

looks like im buying a new timing cover. Im curious to know how the guy before me checked his oil.

you just drain it out and fill it back up about once a month
