Maybe the biggest difference you could make in your car without making more power.

Yea that was going to be my next suspension mod, i just have a hard time dumping more money into the car at this point. I've put over 20k into it not including what i bought it for....

Yep I feel the exact same... I can go without driving it for a while and it is still unexciting when I get back into it.

I'm tired of driving high mileage, old vehicles... the Mustang is definitely falling into both of those categories. I've put way more money into it than I should have, and it's still slow in comparison. Hell, it's ONLY going 12.70's with a 100 shot and full bolt ons... granted in better weather with a better set of drag radials (as in not old and worn out) it has the MPH to go 12.20's-12.40's with a hard launch, but I'm tired of beating the car up. At 150k+ it's only going to last so long under those conditions.

I need to put probably another grand or a little more to fix all the annoying odds and ends with it (brakes, engine and trans mounts, tires, address rear end issues, clutch, flywheel, etc.) and I don't want to do that. I'd much rather force myself to part with it and get into something newer. Maybe a LOW LOW LOW mileage 05-08ish or wait a few years and see about a 2011 if things are alright financially.

Part of me wants to keep the car and just turn it into the weekend warrior, not worrying about anything breaking, etc... but at the same time I feel like I should sell it while it's still worth something.

I would not say I am getting bored of my car but more that I am bored with the power. I want something more exciting, as I still have just above a stock HP car.

I might sell the stang though, for a 60's stang(4 spd), Boss 302, GT500 or a Z06(ls7) in the next year or so if I decide to not buy a blower.

But as of now, I am looking to due a forged engine, Patriot stage 2 heads and a Kenne Bell 2.1 pushing 14 psi, or close to 14psi seeing as the ported heads give boost drop but more power.

If I am going to buy a different car, sorry to say but it won't be a cobra. The reason are the fact that they are sn95(similar to my body style) and are 7 years old now. They are cool and ya they make power but I would rather have a GT500 (used) for a tad more. Plus I don't care what my car will be worth since if I dump that money into it I won't be selling it anyway.

I never invest into a car that I will be selling because CARS ARE TERRIBLE INVESTMENTS. Plus 15k won't even get me a good low mileage cobra but it will get me a nice down on a 2012 Comp Orange BOSS, or Z06 .

03 Mustang Cobra 600hp 17k

2003 Cobra Triple Black Vert 16,500

Yea but you know everyone says they will never sell their car and 95% of them eventually do. I for one said i would never ever sell my car, and here I am after putting over 20k into it (not including what i bought it for) scratching my head going, now what? If i had spent that money on a cobra atleast i could sell it for more than 10k...

To me its a matter of logic. Neither are good investments, but the cobra is definitely a Better investment.

I`m 42 and have had many cars. I get bored with them all. I`m not bored with the Mustang yet as i keep modding it. I will get bored though and end up selling it. Even though I`d love it if I didn`t.
If the OP sold his car and bought a2011 GT he`d get bored with that too after a while.
Such is life.

That is correct. I guess I like "change" pretty often too as I have had a 98, 06, and now a 11 GT.
