After many months a spending back breaking hours and pleanty of money...I finaly got it finished and braught her home. I dont know if any of you really care to hear me talk but I just wanted to share it with ya and let you guys know im in the 4.6 family now. about 5 months ago i baught a used motor out of a wrecked gt to put in my 1999 v6 coupe, I thought it would be a straight and easy swap....well a t45, hydroaboost, dozens of lines and wiring harness's and many other pricy little things later, my car finaly came together and runs real strong...If any of you want i could post some pics. anyways heres a short list of what the car is runnin...

-98 4.6 2valve motor with the 99 P.I intake and ported plenum, has coil on plug igniton, and BBK under drives.

-has a BBK O/R X pipe fallowed by mac flowpath catback ( sounds awesome except for exhaust leak at the drivers side manifold)

-has the Gt gages, GT PCM, and steeda tri ax shifter

well thats all i cant think of right now. talk to you guys later!

peace,
ryan

Ditto on the pics. ^ Also, working hard for what you want at 18--and seeing it all the way through--priceless. Very comendable!

Hey thanks fellas,

tomarow after i get her cleaned up reall good I will try to snap a few pictures and get them on here for you guys. I must say, I absolutely love my new power and TQ. feel, its incredible....i can be creepin about 10-15mph in 1st gear and just lay into it and man...the sound of rubber on pavement is music to my ears I also love the manual trans, shifting is alot of fun...really livens up the driving experience! so yeah...I have got on it a little bit, i think the tac has seen abou 5,500 rpms or so. I still gotta take it easy on here till i get a strong 8.8 in there. well, i'll keep you guys up to date, thanks for showning interest .

btw, what is the fuel shut off rpm at on the gt? is it 5,800 or 6,200 ?

thanks,
ryan

I believe the shut off is around the 6200rpm mark. Do you have a trac-lok in the 7.5" rear end?

its about 6,100 or 6,200. Try to resist the urge to launch hard with your rear end.

That really rules. So many people ramble about doing engine swaps and so little people actually go through with it. Congrats bro! Enjoy!

I actually have a year on my 7.5 and it hasn't bombed yet (getting replaced soon anyways). I was hoping it would break earlier so there were no reasons to wait on the 8.8!
