Ive never had my car into a mechanics shop for the 7 years ive owned it ive rebuilt the engine myself, did all the porting, and also did a paintjob myself... so i dont think your "If you dont turn the bolts, its not yours." quote applies...

your great man. I get a laugh every time i click on this thread because your calling your car a pos then your defending yourself again lol. you did the paint yourself and your calling it an ugly piece of $hit

took us 8 weekends of work just to get the body work done on our 86.

I'm going to make a slide show just for you.

to show you what a project in work it.

Your problem here is you probably have NO idea HOW to port and totally screwed up the air flow and velocity in those heads and they're killing you. Porting is more then just removing metal, my friend.

Just for the record im not giving up but im also not planning on putting on new heads like many of you suggest. Im happy with the power its the other things im not happy with like the body , wheels , interior etc.. I will work on those things and mabye add gears and im happy with the power. There will always be someone faster im not concerned with that its fast enough to roast the tires and have fun with on the street. I just want a nice presentable clean car.

wooordddd !

i have a piece of ****. but i love it... try spending real money and getting a real H/C/I and gears. the best looking stangs are close to stock ones (foxes at least) so maybe you just spent your money in the wrong place.

Dude im not a noob ive been reading these forums way before the date I joined which was 2003... I know what combos make big power and what mods are popular etc , Ive also read almost every 5.0 and MM&FF mag published since 1995... im just not into the buy new heads and intake thing that most people are into I like trying to make stock stuff fast which I think ive done a decent job at I bet I can give some H/C/I guys a run for their money in the 1/8th...

Just so you know, people buy the aftermarket stuff because the stock stuff has limits, granted the aftermarket expensive stuff does too, but its limits are alot farther than stock.

All this stock head talk and going fast with stock parts, and noobs and whatnot...

To the original poster. Post up track times, dyno numbers or anything useful, and if you cant then back away from the computer and go get something we can work with...

I will agree with one thing, a stock headed (with work) stock cammed car will give a HCI car a run for its money, so long as its a basic street HCI car, and the guy with the E7s knows what he is doing. Any combo other than that and the E7 car is going home in 2nd place.

Oh yeah and this is coming from a young guy, who hasent been around the block with Mustangs yet. Never owned one that didnt have stock heads, go figure!
