I worked as a service adviser at A Ford dealership and was horrified at what I saw. But it is NOT just the shop. Park it outside and someone "dings" the door, that is the kind of crap I am talking about. I am proud to say I did ALL the work to my Cobra clone ( except squirt the paint ) and if she is gonna get boogied up, It will be by me or I will be there. PERIOD. I have always been this way, with all my vehicles. My wife just does not get it .THE COBRAMAN said:Sounds to me like you guys need to be more selective about what shop you choose. I have never worked in, nor would I,a shop that would tolerate the abuse of a customer's car.
I have, however repaired some cars that were damaged by employees of such shops, and you might be surprised to know that not once was it an independent shop. I guess having to earn your reputation and customer base means a little more to independents than it does at the dealership level.
I am guessing it was a pretty quick job. I think they did have to retract a bolt though.
