Now, their drivers can be A-holes. But, do you think the competition between Ford and Chevy is as healthy as ever because of the lack of respect shown by an ignorant few like this one? Ask some of the Chevy meat we've (the Terminator poster's here) dined on or with lately. I don't hate them, but I will eat them without thinking twice. Just like I eat the venerable ricer. I like my rice just as hot, burnt and crispy as my Camaro meat.

As for the few who don't have good manners. Its up to each individual to stand up for what they believe in. If you don't like what they have said, then say so. But, keep it calm, no reason to cast a huge flame. I find it's best to take 'em to a track and teach them the true meaning of Fast Pony Car. Woo Hoo

Like was said before, I don't hate Camaro's, I even considered buying an SS before I found my cobra, it's the people who drive the certain cars that I hate. Everyone tends to think what they drive rules. We do. Most other people probably think the same about mustang owners.

Dont be upset that i called you a retard. You are biased and really never show any info. You spout off about chevy sucks and they donmt make any good blah blah blah... I think if your fello stangers read that mach1 post, they'd be l;aughing at you instead of me. Post real info and not this "well i street race" crap. Take it to the track. Like I said before an LS1 that runs 12.9 racing a mach that runs 13.2 still can lose to the stang just based on reaction time alone. If the mach hits it a half second early then the edge is his. It also works the other way too. I have seen many posts about stockish ls1's beating 03 cobras. Same things here as far as reaction ,etc. Not to mention driver, traction, etc. Unless there is a timer there you really cant tell which is faster unless you race from a roll for a decent amount of time. So cry if you want, but people that have seeen you post know speak out of contempt, and not with knowledge.

first off stock z28's dont run 12.9....second check the forum bro....03truemach posted a timeslip for his stock mach1.....wow it's 13.1 just like I said.....your the moron. Like I said trade your stupid as$ camaro for a srt4 it'd be better respected by car enthusiasts....isn't there a z28 forum you can go to? Stop trolling ours 13.9 is the best you can run? Your way behind me buddy....the closest you'll ever come to me is with that viper you rented. As for knowledge....how old are you bro? I'm 21 (probably half your age) and know twice as much. Do you even know what a cam is? Do you have jiffy lube change your oil for you? Did you do that gear install yourself?

Now listen up. The problem with you is you read posts with anger. Take your time and reread what I said. I said i have seen people post kills on 03 cobras with stockish ls1's. I said this to SHOW that driver reaction, traction, etc. have alot to do with a street race, so the faster car doesnt always win. That has been my point. I am on this site because I have friends with cobras (97 and 99) and my bro has a 5.0L heads/cam setup. I have no problem put many lengths on either of them

Haha! I get a kick out of you. Mail order degree? i guess so if you consider Northeastern University a mail order college (it was top 5 in all of new England in Engineering). Your criticizing my education when your studying aeronautical science. haha! Grow up kid. Install that 125 shot and get some track times. I think you dont go cuz you dont want to be disappointed As far as my 3.3 60', try 2.0' with only a few runs at the track. i didnt really get enough times to play with tire pressure and rpm launches. How are your 60'? Oh wait, you dont go to the track. Nevermind. You seem to think your car is fast huh. Let me guess, you are beating stock 03 cobras with the few bolt-ons you have? I dont have a problem with them. I lost to a pullied 03 cobra (he out trapped me by 1.5mph). You hope to run into me? haha, it would be a pleasure.

hahaah this is great. Honostly the 03 cobra being beat by a z28 is horse SH1T. Like my boy said, maybe with the parking brake on and him sleeping at the wheel. Anyways the only camero which deserves respect is an SS. Anyways i dont know if you know this, just a heads up...this is a MUSTANG forum.

You have problems reading too? Like I said to your boy, I have seen lots of posts about stockish LS1's beating 03 cobras. Obviously the cobra should win, but they dont all the time. My point is the ls1 could have hit it .5 second faster then the cobra, or a whole second faster then the cobra. Traction and shifting play another role. SOMETIMES the faster car doesnt always win in a street race because things arent always even. Thats my whole point. Not that hard to understand. I would think somebody that AMLOST has a bachelor's degree could understand that.

As far as the SS being the only camaro deserving respect...you obviously know nothing about fbodies.

I'm sorry guys, I'm going to have to defend realquick on this one, You guys are bickering like a bunch of girls.

I'll start with this first. Street racing is by no means any indication nor proof of a vehicles true performance. Anything can and will happen to affect the outcome and there is no way to measure people reaction.

1.) how fast can someone react weather it be launch or downshifting. I've beaten moddified ls1 on the street simply because I got the jump and they couldn't hook. Now I can brag all day long about my win but what for
Hell, my father beat me twice in his 02 stock GT. I was spinning in 1st & 2nd. Then on run two I scratch 3rd. I can't really make excuses now can I. Simple fact was I lost.

I have yet to go to the track with my current setup, and I'm waiting for my new tires, but what I can teel you is my best time in stock form was 14.1 @100mph with 2.1 60 foot. I no longer have the slip so I can't tell you reaction time

If you search the web you will find that the advertise times for an ls1 was a 13.9. I have seen them in complete stock form run as well as 13.4. SHould I believe what I always read.

Let people beleive what they want to believe, on the other hand take your car to the local tracks, and with some practice(it does take practice believe me, it ain't nothing like street racing, first track time ever for me was a 14.7 and I bet somebody without a clue probabley ran home to their computer to spout their argument the my car sucks and that they see cobras running high 14 all day long ) get some times out of your car and share them with fellow car enthusiest. Please stop this bench racing and name calling on other vehicles.

P.S. My friend has an 03 cobra, I wasn't there to witness this but he scratch in 3rd last time at the track and turned in a horrible 13.7 just to make another pass at 12.9. Don't have his timeslip so can't really contest to that, but I trust his word

Okay, i know me simply SHOWING UP HERE is gonna cause hell. Simply stated the 03 cobra's own, there is NO OTHER american V8 in/planned/has been/ produced ever. simple tune, pully, intake and exhaust, whamo. 500 RWHP.

By defualt I'm a GM guy, my father owned a body shop, i've worked on everything from porshe's to dodge K cars. I like my GM products best
but i will respect any well built car that deserves it, in fact i've even talked my former ricer, 350z obsessed room mate into buying an 04 cobra (WOOT WOOT CONVERSION POINT FOR ME )

ANYWAYS, yes, i own an 01 WS6, when it was stock, only mod's K&N, and BFG Drag Radials @ 22 PSI, the car hit 12.9 at 1200 FT consistantly. it's a 6 speed and that was with stock clutch pulling 1.9 60ft's.

seems most of you are flaming realquick just because he's got a Z, (Yes a stock LS1 Z / T/A will hit 12's too with a good driver, no difference in the SS/WS6 and the Z / T/A ) but i guess i'm an idiot because i don't ALMOST have a degree, in fact i was 3 months away from graduating a computer sciences degree when i realized thats not what i wanted to do. Now I paint bridges. Yay Me.
