Can you tell me how to remove the headlight knob in a 2000 Mustang? This is going to sound stupid but, Where is the windshield washer pump located? Is it in the resevior?

The headlight knob just pulls off.

The windshield wiper pump is underneath the black cowl where the wipers are. Behind the upper part of the firewall in the engine bay.

To remove the headlight knob (heh-heh......heh.....heh.....heh-heh-heh........I just said "knob"......heh-heh-heh) turn it until you see the slot that runs along it, bend a stout paper clip into a hook shape, insert into said slot, and pull it toward you until it engages a small clip that secures the knob to the headlight switch. Pull the clip upwards and the knob should disengage.

lol, i knew i should have followed that part of the instructions more clearly when i was doing my gauge swap... stupid me just turned it til the slot was all the way to the left and pulled on the knob til it came off. now about every 3rd time i go to turn my headlights on, the knob comes off

note to self : read and follow the directions from now on, lol...
