I have found the best way to make money ever.....

Many people dont know exactly how much money you can make as a waitor in a corporate resturant, like fridays, dave and busters, cheesecake factory etc. I thought it was just people talking it up. Well lets just say in 3 days, weekdays, I have made more than I have ever made in a week in my life. On a bad night Im walking away with a hundred in my pocket. Today my friend walked out with about $500.

If you want to make your fox have lots of new parts really fast this is absolutly the way to do it. Turbo time is just around the corner for me at this pace.

btw I work at dave and busters in a mall, and they hired me with no experiance.

I love cheesecake factory in chicago. It's a nice place to have drinks or dinner and hot waitresses. Dave and busters in Cinci is cool.

Congrats. Getting your foot in the door is the key. As you'll learn, your tips sorta realte(percentage wise) to your sales. The more expensive the restaurant, the more you will typically make. Chains like Fridays, Chili's etc are a good start, but don't get stuck there. Hit up a nice steak house like Ruth's Chris or so, and try applying there.

Living here in Orlando, a major tourist area, its DAMN easy to make money serving. I survive only being scheduled a set 2 shifts a week. This week, after someone called in, I picked up a shift for a friend, and someone called in again, I've pocketed a little over $1,200 in tips working the last 5 nights straight.

With tomorrow(or should I say today now) being almost a holiday, someone might call in, and I've sweet talked management into calling me if anyone does. If I can work tonight, I should be able to make the total $1,500 in 6 nights work.

Yeah, its fully pathetic, and I still find myself laughing at how easy this money is, but I'm not complaining. I'm paying cash for college, and currently shopping the for the one mustang I've always wanted, a teal 93 Cobra. Life is good.

BTW, I noticed this when I was 17. I went with a friend to pick up his whore of a GF who worked at a Denny's. At the time I was at a subway making about $120 a week. While in the car, she mentioned it was sorta busy, and she made $80 in tips. That floored me. This girl make more than half my weeks pay in one night? I quit subway within a couple week, and was hired at a mexican place my family use to visit all the time.

Las Vegas is the place to go!!! This girl I dated was making over $700 for a 4 day work week as a cocktail waitress...OFF THE STRIP!!! Far away from the strip. She told me that cocktails at Venitian, Bellagio, etc....anywhere on the strip will make 125,000-250,000 a year!! Serving drinks!!!! She told me one night, she served this guy 3 cups of FREE coffee!! He tipped her $10 for EACH cup!!! WOW!

been there and done that. Except in Niagara falls. All I gotta say about serving is that you are going to begin to hate people lol. I know it got to me and I wont do it anymore.

My mother was a waitress for years when i was really young, she supported 3 kids doing it so it's definitely a capable job. I'm a pretty generous tipper...i know how crappy the job can be.

I worked at Applebees as a dishwasher and fry-side cook. Let's just say I worked my @ss of while the servers just chilled and watched me and then casually walked out with the food when it was done. While I made 7.25 an hour they were walking out with 125 a night easily not to mention the 3.05 and hour or whatever it is. If construction falls through, I'm getting a server job.

I tip a lot more than I should, not so much for service, but there's no way I could be nice to a lot of people in one day who were doing nothing but complaining- my real thoughts about them, their unruly kids, stupid questions, whining about their fajitas ambient temperature- yeah, I'd snap. So when I get a server I see with that crap going on, I tip 'em more!

Exactly my thoughts. I look and see what the server has going on....if i'm the only person they're serving and he/she is chilling at the kitchen window doing nothing....they're getting a minimum tip. However, if they're slammed and that person is dealing with bitchy people, i'll tip good.

Once i was eating at Red Lobster with my ex, and this girl serving us was really getting beat down. You could tell she was to the point of crying. This one table of probably 8 people or so were really just being obnoxious and should've been kicked out. They were literally yelling at her and insulting her. She got a healthy tip from us that night.

I also tip the pizza deliver guy pretty well, especially when the weather sucks. With the price of gas it's a hard job to make money off of.

Right! We had a truly entertaining ice storm here in Chicago in Janaury, wouldn't go out for anything. Pizza guy got here, though. Tip was more than the pizza that night!

I worked in food service just enough in high school to know that there isn't enough money in the world to make me want to do that job. I was also there long enough to realize that 15% isn't near enough to tip a good server.

I almost got kicked out of a restaurant for that. I was dining with some friends, had a couple drinks, and the table next to us starts ripping the server a new one for BS stuff like the food taking to long when the restaurant was very busy, the soda was flat, etc. When the server left, they kept up with the insults, and even said, "I'm not tipping this girl." It may have been the alcohol, but I stood up, and said a couple choice words to that table, starting with, "why don't you shut the **** up since you have no clue what you are talking about." I went into a 2-3 minute speech on why these ladies were dumb bitch, and the server wasn't to blame. They then wanted the management. That tables got their entire bill comped, but the server later thanked me, and let me know they left a $20 tip. Management came over and sorta yelled at me, but once the other table left he came by to say he was sorry, and was, "just putting on a show for those bitches."
