I have installed high speed fan switch, but now I have problems

I installed high speed fan switch like this one in pics except I use ground to pin #17 like somebody from here told me, but last months conectors are burn out on groung (black wire) on fan ,I get new conectors from FOrd dealer, and 2 weeks after (tonyght ) same thing,
Why groung on fan getting too hot

Meybe this have to do with A/C because little bit over a month I remove whole A/C out

If you are switching the wire from the EEC to pin 17 of the CCRM to ground, I can't see how that has any effect on the connector on the fan burning up. Except that the fan is probably running more (go figure). How often is your switch on and running the fan on high?

The connector on the fan is one of the 'common' problems with our cars. Perhaps a coiencidence?

i wish i could answer that question, but you might can answer mine. how exactly did you go about doing that, because i have the complete manual pertaining to the wires on the fan and it says my model has two wires, but this isn't true it has a ground and a orange,and a orange w/red stripe. which one do you use. i seen the diagram on the 94-95 FAQ ,done by RedSN95, but i don't understand it. can you break it down in lamens terms? the low speed want kick in , what's up with that? 95 gt thanks!!

It sounds like you fan motor might be going out. Seimens (s/p) I think makes them for ford and if you go to autozone to get you you can get a seimens brand replacement with a lifetime warranty for around $50.

Are you saying the low speed wont kick in? or are you asking how to wire it up?

the low speed won't kick in, but it will some on when i cut the air conditioner on.

Your fan will not come on until at least 210. The #17 pin to a switch and then a ground from the switch should not melt your ground wire on the fan plug itself. You must have a loose plug or connector in the plug.

I still believe that the switch has nothing to do with it...

If you are melting connectors, perhaps your fan is going bad and causing excess current to be drawn and this is exceeding the connectors rating.

Wait, just realized, if you have the high switch on (and the high side of the fan on) when the ECM has the low speed on, then MAYBE it's sending the current for both the low thru the fan and out the ground AND the current for the high thru the fan and out the ground. I'd bet the ECM only turns on 1 at a time so the fan (and thus the ground wire) only gets EITHER the low or high's current. If you turn off the switch, and let the ECM completely control the fan, does it melt the connector?

Sometime when engine runing at 200+ (normal temp) and PCM kick low speed the fan and I turn manualy high at that time, I can heard the fan at low speed for like 10 sec and after that high speed kick in
I didn't try let PCM completely control the fan in last year , but I melt two connector (stock one and new one from Ford) in one month
