Yeah, no big breaking news, but I got a nice shifter to go along with the Redline Shifter/Ebrake boots. The boots are amazing quality and look/feel awesome, I think I might need some time for them to grow on me though... I got orange ones with a black stripe on them... The orange is a bit brighter then my car...

The shifter is weird... I'm used to driving with the original one for 3 years and now this one is mighty different. I feel like I only have to move the handle like an inch to get from one gear to another...

But I think I like it (I only drove it home from my shop...)

I know exactly what you mean with that weird feeling. It will go away REAL soon and you will not be able to live with a stock mustang shifter ever again . Mine was even worse at first because the throws were even shorter than a tri ax.

Well I had to go for another drive and I do admit it is starting to grow on me... the only other impressions I've had would be with driving riced up imports with shifters in and out of the shop and to be honest I didn't like the feel... but this feels much different, I enjoy it.

+1 to everyone who recommended this shifter

Great to here all this cause I decided on the tri-ax myself. Have to wait a week or so to install. Cant wait to toss the stocker! Is reverse easier to hit now too?

Good deal. Shift handle in the upper or lower position? I prefer it in the upper myself as the shifts are still much shorter and precise and found the that the lower position, I had to reach for 5th shifting and still have some leverage.

How much quicker in the 1/4 was your car with the MGW over the tri-ax or the pro 5.0.
PS I have a Pro 5.0.

shift handle is in the lower position, I thought if I was going to change the way it shifts I was going all out!!!

I will have pics up in a bit. When I find some batteries for my digi...

And I got a steeda shifter because a fellow member offered it to me for a really low price. If you want me to have an MGW I'll buy it for like 1/8th of the cost

Congrats on dumping that POS stocker.

I had a Triax in my 99 GT and it was pretty decent.

I picked up a MGW for this car and now I know why everyone who has one says they are the best.

MGW owns.

I like the shifter boot but the ebrake boot is way too long.

Since installing my MGW shifter 3 years ago, i have NEVER missed a shift while racing my car


I used to always miss 3rd with the stocker when at the track

I have a Tri-Ax and Occasionally miss third... Kills me every time I do!

I also feel like my old B&M Ripper that was in my 95 GT 5.0 had a shorter throw than my current tri-ax. Anyone else experiance this??
