a sweet rearend. Its an irs unit from an early 90's t-bird. Its a 8.8 with 3.08 gears. I got everything with it that I could possibly use to install it into another vehicle. I got it for free, so I figured it couldn't be too bad of a deal. Any ideas as to what I should do with it, its not going in the mustang.....

this setup doesn't use brackets I don't think. I've seen the dvsrestoration project where they put the cobra irs into a 67, and this unit doesn't seem to be very similar in the way its mounted, unless they removed part of it. It has four mounting cushions with bolts that go straight up into the frame/chassis. It is a self contained cradle assembly. Basically, it mounts to its own frame, then that is bolted to the car. It will be real simple to install I think.

brianj5600, I will try and remember to measure it tomorrow when I go to pick it up, I got it removed this afternoon but didn't get a chance to take any measurements. the car was in a head on collision and was on its way to the crusher tonight, so I had to rush to remove it.
