Bare with me here guys.

I have done all of the followig:

1. Used the search function on stangnet and the corrall
2. used google
3. went out looking for a service manual, ended up with a Haynes (i.e. Totally useless)
4. asked a friend.

here's as far as i've gotten. I got so frustrated that i just put my hand down there and pulled out a tube tha twas elbow shapped, it came with a plastic base with a screw. it looks like where the PVC Valve might sit, but no PVC Valve where is it!? Im a tall guy 6'1" and have long skinny arms... and i can't see/feel jack!

Was the pvc valve deleted? If you go to 50resto.com and look up pvc valce it will show you what it looks like. There should also be a pvc screen down in the hole. the best way to get that out is to screw a screw into it and pull it out..or use plyers like i did. Good luck

Does it have a black plastic piece on top, with two "nipples" on it? If so, that plastic piece comes off and will work like that.

I got thrown for a loop the first time I bought a PCV valve and was handed that until I figured it out. lol

Yup. Slap the vacuum hose on top and you're set.

I would also check to make sure that the screen that's supposed to be down in the hole of the lower intake isn't in there and all clogged up.

The Vacuum hose is the big hose that goes right in right? it's not some small hose like a traditional Vacuum hose that would plug into the nipples

yep - large vac hose (3/8" maybe). As said, you can cut the plastic two nipple dealie off and use the straight metal fitting underneath (Unless you have an SN - they cap the little fitting and keep the plastic since the stock vac hose fits better w/o having to make a 90* bend).

if not mentioned, renew the rubber grommet (if you had one, it probably feels like hard plastic - this can allow a vac leak) and the screen underneath the grommet (at least clean the screen - i like to renew them though).

good luck.

I stand victorious! I owe it all to you guys on here.. man those three nipples really through me off! Also I had to drive to 2 different ford dealers to pick up the Grommet and screen.

The PCV Valve on there still seemed ok, but the rubber grommet had hardend beyond belief and the screen was beyond filthy!

Thanks Stangnet beers on me tonight..

well done. Now you should be able to forget about it for a couple years.

And Mike has the good pics as usual.

How do you get to that thing? Do you take all tha EGR stuff off to get to it?? It looks impossible... I'm burning some oil and I want to change this to see if it helps.

CJ - i just hang an arm over the plenum from the driver side and feel it out. i cant get a head in there, but i can feel it. a telescoping mirror would help you if you want to see/know what it is you are removing. nothing else needs to be disturbed to change the parts out though.

good luck.

I took a long screw and taped it to a the longest flathead screwdriver i could find with electrical tape.. then i just stuck it down the whole and screwed it in and pulled it out

then I just shoveed the new screen/filter in, followed by the grommet and the new PCV valve.. very easy. But if you get a none Motorsports PCV valve like I did you might get thrown off by the three nipples... nipples are evil

I dont know about that, but three nipples would throw me off.

if you lean across the motor, you can see what is going on down there. i used a long pair of needle nose pliers to remove the screen. some use magnets, and some use the screw method.

good luck.
