Well I was under my car today feeling/listening to my exhaust for a leak and I found a small crack right behind the dirvers side muffler. Anyone know how I can fix this? Ive had the Magnapack catback for maybe a year. Thanks

Make sure it's the real JB not the quick stuff. Quick is only 500* test.

Isn't there a 'lifetime' warranty on workmanship? Call MagnaFlow and explain the problem and they will probably send a replacement. They may want a "return deposit" to ensure that the cracked muffler is returned.

I would call Magnaflow and tell them you want it fixed or replaced for no charge. There is no excuse for that to happen after only one year.

seriously though. that sucks. what happens that makes you suspect an exhaust leak? Is is a sound? performance loss?

Sound is a dead give away. If you can hear a "ticking" sound from your exhaust its most likely a leak. Its very noticeable.

VERY embarassing. I had my transmission rebuilt at a Ford dealer so they obviously had to take my X pipe off. About a week after I picked the car up there is this LOUD ticking coming from the bottom of the car. I knew exactly what it was...but didn't have time to fix it. I had to drive like that for 2 days. It was so embarassing...people would just stare like "WTF" as I would drive by. When I went to fix it the passenger side where it bolts to the manifold was loose...Stupid Ford dealer.

JB weld is good stuff but if you put that on be prepaired if you ever need to get it welded that the welder will charge more because of JB weld on there. I welder by trade and I know what a pain it is to remove JB weld.

If you were around Hutchinson KS I'd do it for you for free in about 5 mins. I know exhaust leaks are embarassing b/c you know what the problem is you sometimes just don't have time to fix it.

They have a lifetime warranty. My Roush is at the dealer right now because I found a crack on the front of the muffler last week. I called Magnaflow and they said I had to take it to the Roush dealer since it's part of the package. I'm waiting for them to call back and see if they'll repair it or replace it.

That noise is so embarrasing and horrible I haven't driven the car but maybe 20 miles for the past 2 weeks......

This is a stainless steel catback, its not supposed to crack. This is the second time youve posted something stupid in one of my threads, if you dont have any helpful info then dont post.
